Star Cinema announced on March 27, 2023, the comeback of this generation's Asia's Box Office Superstar Kathryn Bernardo, in a revenge dark comedy film, 'A Very Good Girl.' The production also shared that Dolly De Leon, a Golden Globe Nominee is starring in the upcoming movie directed by Peterson Vargas and written by Marionne Dominique.
In a media conference, Bernardo revealed that her character's name is Philomena Angeles. "She works in Italy and then pumunta siya rito sa Philippines. And she's back for unofficial 'business because she is a restaurateur." she said.
Meanwhile, De Leon praised Bernardo for her humility and talent as an actress. She genuinely expressed that Bernardo is very technical in her acting skills.
"Whenever the camera is angled a certain way - ako kasi I'm not a very technical actor, in fact, I don't look at the monitor after the take - pero she's [Kathryn] very technical, which is a very good thing. Alam niya how to play with the camera. Kabisado niya 'yung face niya. She's very in touch with her emotions and vulnerability. She can bring it out and flesh it out to make it work with the angle of the camera. It's a skill that I don't have."

'A Very Good Girl' release date will be on September 27, 2023 (Wednesday), in cinemas nationwide.
